The kids had a great day today. This morning Pete and the kids left and met our friends Zach and Sawyer to go fishing. There was a fire still burning on the shoreline from some fishermen who were earlier risers, so they fueled it up a bit and fished for the morning. They came home with lots to tell, even though nothing was officially caught. ( Thanks Zach and Sawyer for showing them the great spot and helping Pete to untangle lines!:)
Then, later this afternoon, Pete and I took Alex to the skate park at the river. But, it was too crowded for mom's liking so he skated around on the river trail instead. I brought my camera to practice some lighting and stake out great picture spots. When Alex was done skating, he topped off his trip to the park by climging some trees. This was in Alex's words, "a perfect day".
